Kuura Coffee Roasters · Herttoniemi, Helsinki
We roast small batches of clear, light coffee every Tuesday and Friday in Herttoniemi and pour it at the bar next to the roaster. Buy a bag, have it delivered every two or four weeks, or come in for a cup and a warm korvapuusti.
At the bar
Recipes we start from. Ask the barista to change them.
We weigh the coffee and the water for every drink, so the cup you liked on Tuesday tastes the same on Saturday. A ratio is simply grams of coffee to grams of water: the bigger the second number, the lighter and clearer the cup.
1:16
Filter of the day
60 g coffee to 960 g water at 94 °C, brewed fresh every hour.
1:2
Espresso
18 g in, 36 g out in 27 to 30 seconds. The base of every milk drink.
1:15
Pour-over
15 g coffee, 225 g water, poured by hand in three slow circles.
1:8
Cold brew
Steeped for 16 hours in the fridge, served over ice from May.
This week’s coffees
Six coffees on the shelf, each roasted to bring out where it comes from rather than how long it spent in the drum. The date on the bag is the day we roasted it.

Subscriptions
Pick a coffee or let the roaster choose, then set the roast, the grind and how much you drink. We roast it, pack it the same afternoon and post it every two or four weeks. Skip, pause or change it whenever you like.
2 / 4
Two weeks for daily filter drinkers, four for weekend brewers.
€14
Larger bags and the 1 kg pack bring the price per cup down.

No contract. Cancel before the next roast day and nothing is sent.
The café
The café shares a room with the roaster, so on Tuesday and Friday mornings you can watch a batch drop into the cooling tray while you wait for your flat white. We bake korvapuusti and rye bread every morning and keep the menu short.
Every milk drink comes with oat milk at no extra cost, and gluten-free and vegan food is clearly marked.

Wholesale
We supply espresso and filter coffee to cafés and offices around Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa, with deliveries on roast days, help setting up recipes and barista training for your team.
How we roast
We stop the roast soon after the first crack, which keeps the fruit and flowers in the coffee and leaves bitterness out.
Light roasts need a few days to settle. We tell you when each coffee is ready, and the date is always printed on the bag.
Each roast is tasted the next morning against the last one. If it is not right, it does not go on the shelf.
Questions
We roast on Tuesdays and Fridays and post your coffee on the same day. Inside Finland it usually arrives in one to three working days, which is about when light roasts start to taste their best.
Yes. Change the coffee, grind, bag size or rhythm, skip a delivery or pause for a holiday at any time before the next roast day. There is no minimum term.
Every milk drink can be made with oat milk at no extra cost, and the menu marks gluten-free and vegan food so you can see your options at a glance.
Yes. We grind to order for filter or espresso on the day we roast. Whole beans keep their aroma longer, so choose them if you have a grinder at home.

Tuesday and Friday mornings smell the best. Sit at the long table by the window, taste the new batch at the bar and take a fresh bag home.
